Obdejt l-ordni u tajtha l-mobile. Din il-pulizija poġġiet il-mobile tiegħi fuq ħoġor ta’ tieqa flimkien mal-mobiles tal-oħrajn li kienu qed jivvotaw dak il-ħin. Ma ingħatajt ebda irċevuta tiegħu u ma saret ebda marka biex il-mobile jibqa’ jintgħaraf li huwa tiegħi u ma jieħdu ħadd iktar, bi żball jew apposta.

Domt nivvota mhux iktar minn 5 minuti, anke għax fl-Imqabba m’hemmx elezzjoni tal-Kunsilli Lokali u l-istennija mhix twila. Jien u ħiereġ sibt il-mobile tiegħi fejn ħallejtu, f’ħoġor ta’ tieqa b’iktar mobiles miegħu.

Dak il-ħin innutajt li kien hemm tabella tindika li fil-post tal-votazzjoni ma jistgħux jittieħdu ritratti u ma tistax tuża l-mobile. Imkien ma kien hemm miktub li ma tistax iddaħħal il-mobile miegħek u li kellek tħallieh fil-kustodja tal-pulizija.

Is-senzazzjoni tiegħi hi li din l-ordni tal-pulizija hija għal kollox illegali u abbużiva. Jekk mhux hekk u għaddiet xi liġi li ma nafx biha, kull min approvaha jmissu jistħi, hu ta' liema partit hu.

  2. I have just returned from the polling station in St Julians, where I cast my vote. Nobody asked me about my mobile, which I had on me. I would have refused to hand it over if they did. This is an abuse of power.

    1. Third World country xejn! Ejjew ngħidu l-affarijiet kif inhuma.
Meta mort nivvota Hal-Tarxien kien hemm nota fil-bieb biex ma jintużax il-mobile fil-perimetru ta' 50 metru mill-post tal-votazzjoni. Ħadd mill-pulizija li kien hemm barra u lanqas dawk ta' ġewwa ma staqsieni għall-mobile u wisq inqas talabni ntihulu.

Dak li għamlu lil Norman huwa każ ċar, premeditat, ta' abbuż u harassment fuq Norman għax HU NORMAN ! Tattiċi vessatorji tipiċi tad-despotiċi. U ara ma jiġix xi ħadd jgħidli li dan ġara hekk, b'kumbinazzjoni - seta' kien kwalunkwe ħaddieħor. Fejn jidħlu dawn l-affarijiet il-Labour jaf jimmira sew fuq it-targets tiegħu, kif rajna fl-aħħar elezzjoni.

Dawn affarijiet li jdejqu lin-nies u ta' misthija u tidher cara daqs il-kristall li din kienet ippjanata minn qabel biex jipprovaw ikissru il-moral ta' persuna u biex b'xi mod minn wara l-kwinti jhammg lilu u lil partit li jappogga.

    1. Sur James Attard,

L-argument mhux jekk ghandekx tithalla tiehu r-ritratti jew le.

L-argument huwa li r-regola (jew ligi) hija li ma tistax tiehu ritratti, mhux li ma tistax iddahhal il-mobile. Allura il-Pulizija m'ghandhom l-ebda setgha jehdulek il-mobile u huwa inkwetanti li dawk li jridu jizguraw l-osservanza tal-ligi lanqas biss jafu x'inhi u lanqas jafu applikawha.

      Uniformi minghajr mohh hija perikoluza.

    2. Not only did they not bother about our phones in Attard, but in the doorway, right underneath the No Smoking sign, an official and a police-women enjoyed a cigarette and a lively chat.

  14. Norman jien mort nivvota dalodu f'lokalita fejn ma kienx hemm elezjoni tal-kunsilli lokali. Mal-grada tal-iskola li kien il post tal votazzjoni, il-pulizija talbuni biex nurihom il-vot u b'mod evidenti rawni li kelli l-mobile f'idi, izda bqajt diehel bla problemi. Fil-kurutur tal-iskola kien hemm pulizija iehor fejn qalli f-liema kamra immur. Dhalt gol-kamra, bil mobile ghadu f'idi tawni il-vot u ivvutajt. Ghalkemm bhalek rajt it-tabella li ma jistawx isiru telefonati jew jittiehdu itratti, il-mobile tieghi baqa il hin kollhu f'idi tul il-process. Resident Ghawdxi.

  33. That is terrible! Just came back from Pembroke Primary School for voting. Nobody asked if I had a mobile phone on me, nor were there any signs. Why can't we just have pre-set standards and keep things organised... If my phone was kept on a window sill for anyone to claim as theirs whilst I voted, I'd have been worried all the way through the voting!

X'Ghandu x'jaqsam? Civilised jew le, hadd m'ghandu dritt jehodlok il-mobile. Jekk li tmur tivvota huwa kwistjoni ta' mobile fuqek jew le, misshom harrgu 'Public Notice' minn qabel biex hadd ma jmur jivvota bil-mobile fuqu. U imbaghad issir search ghal-mobile.

The law is either equal to all, or equal to none. Or have we become: All persons are equal, but some are less equal than others. Basta bil-Meritokrazija!
